We powered through Acts III and IV in Hell today. The drops were terrible, but hopefully Act V will make up for that.
Except now we have to deal with those little guys that shoot the flaming shovels. Damn it.

Oh hurray. I just got this sword with a 50% deadly blow and such, and I had all my equipment includin but not limited to:
Amulet of +5 strength
Enchanted two-handed socketed sword of Eldel 19-45 attack
Bone Shield of 45 defense and 55% blocking
Chain mail of 95 defense
So I got killed by a spider and then the oh-so awsome Bnet server went down, disconnecting me. So now I have nothing. Yay. DIABLO II IS AN AWESOME GAME.

MEANING IT CANNOT BE DEFEATED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
And there’s no mystery as to why I hate transportation lines: they either cost too much, don’t exist, take too long, or just don’t make any sense at all.
Take this for example: I can drive from here (Detroit) to Houghton, Michigan in under 10 hours, the trip would cost me in the neighborhood of $40.
A bus from Greyhound makes this trip in 18 hours…and costs well over $100.
A flight from Detroit directly to Hancock airport would take about 3 hours (I’ve done it in the past), and would cost about $150.
The cheapest flight you can book now (three or four weeks in advance) take you from Detroit, to Minneapolis, to Hancock and cost $250 (this adds anywhere form 2 hours to 4 hours onto your journey!).
The same flight can also be completed by going from Detroit, to Cleveland, to Minneapolis, and then to Hancock for a grand total of $500 (it also takes about as much time it would take to drive there)
If I were to decide to go Amtrak, I had better be going to Chicago, because trains (of course) do not run up north, and I’m sure it would take an illogical 40 hours to get there, and would cost a kidney donation.
That’s all…no mystery whatsoever!
