Well, as far as I understand it, this thread needs to top about 2300 posts.
Sooooooooo…I will continue the thread by posting something only partially related to the previous posts.
For those of you who can’t be bothered to pay for RTCW, or your computer can’t play it, here is a little video I made using footage from the E3 Video remixed with one of the “drama tracks” from the game…
Plus for anyone who likes overly violent anime (i.e. Spriggan), my second AMV (Anime Music Video) is finally complete and fresh out of Premiere, set to the melodies of Godsmack. If these vids draw enough interest maybe I’ll create a thread…but then again, the more posts that go to BNSL, the better
I think once they can work out the bugs with teamkilling and cheating, plus get more resources out to the mapping community…RTCW will be superior. The graphics and gameplay style are already great.
There is one thing I’d like to know: You mentioned an experiment, in which you could prepare a (magnesium?) solution. This solution would burn underwater with a purple flame, how do I set it up?
And the reply:
be very careful!
potassium permanganate, KMnO4, is an extremely powerful oxidizing agent. it has a manganese in a very high oxidation state and a lot of built in oxygen. given some organic fuel (lets say glycerol) the oxidation will be so exothermic that the material will catch fire. There is enough oxygen in the permanganate to keep the fire going for an extended period.
this is a dangerous reaction at the best of times, and should only ever be demonstrated on a very small scale in the controlled environment of a chemistry lab. Adding water to the mix is really just asking for trouble. i strongly suggest that you do not try this experiment yourself.
Whoooooo doggie! Who has access to some chemicals?
Why is Screech listed as a possible gay man? And Steve Urkle too? Why is it always the comic releif that are portrayed as gay men? When will people learn that it’s the attractive looking star that is gay?
His site was linked in some thread in what is now Spammed. I’m not going to go looking for it or anything, but you’re free to. Some witty things were said, I believe.
