Hey I’m an avid SW fan that has never really stepped into books or comics about the series. Can someone suggest a good starting point? I can’t tell if I want to learn about the early recorded stuff, such as Exar Kun and the old Sith Empire, or maybe the later stuff like Luke’s rebuilding of the Jedi Order, or the alien invasion who’s name escapes me, Yuzhon Vong or something like that. Eventually, I’d like to get a good grasp on it all, but I’m open for suggestions on a starting point.
Start with the novelization of the first 3 movies. They’re full of interesting tidbits and asides. As for anything else, remember this rule of thumb: the further away from the main story you get, the more retarded you get. Case in point: one book centered around alliance people searching for Darth Vader’s glove, as it contained his super-choke power. You know, as opposed to the force. Creative license and all that.
Wow, I thought Lucas or at least LucasArts checked all of these books so they don’t suck?
