Pike is best because he beeped. Plus he was horribly disfigured and lived inside an oversized R2D2.
Beep. Beep.

Picard is the best captain in all of the movies, that’s a given, right?
What about the Borg Queen who took over enterprise for a few hours?
She was pretty .
No, Kirk is WAY better in the movies.
Picard in the movies, oh no what do I do? I’m stuck in the Nexus, oh no my family have died… I must cry. Oh no, Borgs! I must cry! Oh no, Riker is getting married and won’t put out anymore, I must cry.
Kirk in the movies! Oh no, we’re making a movie special, Lets fly about the universe with a bald chick!
Oh no! The Genesis device has been stolen by Khan, lets cheat at exams and blow shit up AND introduce Kirstie Alley, star of Cheers.
Oh no! Spock has died. Let’s have an adventure!
Oh no, my son has died! Lets kill some dirty filthy Klingons!
Oh no! Earth (and everything on it) is going to die! Let’s travel to the 1980’s and capture some hump back whales in the bestest Star Trek film ever!
Oh no! Spock’s half brother is causing trouble, lets prove God doesn’t exist and mankind should worship me!
Oh no! We’ve been sent to jail, lets kick an alien in the balls, escape and save the day, again!
All this carried on until Generations, where Picard was crying like Sissy he is and Kirk decided to save the day just to shut Picard up.
I change my vote, because Kirk’s movies are so much better.
If movie Kirk and movie Picard had a fight, movie Kirk would send movie Picard home crying like a bitch with a scrapped knee.
hahahaha, i agree, that was funny.
well the only startrek i like is Voager (cpt janeway)
so i vote captain janeway
The Sisko is still missing from the list…and he showed how spirituality is cool and can be in science fiction if one thinks it through.
Picard gets points for being a cool Borg back when the Borg were still gray and machine-sterile and non-insectoid. He loses points because of his thing with the Borg Queen, who was the most arrogant b*tch I have ever seen in an ST movie. Gains more back because of such wonderous episodes as Darmok.
Kirk loses points because of all the women he dated, like every single one in the Original. He gains all and more back for the movies, specifically II, III and IV, and presenting the American Cold War hatred of the Russians realistically through VI. He gains even more for having the presense of mind to ask why God would need a starship in the travesty that was V (but since when does that deny the existence of God? Shows that the writers were morons in putting “Him” in the mere center of a galaxy).
Archer gains some for T’Pol, and the one time he seemed to understand why the Vulcans keep their violence so in check at all times. He’s still trying to prove to me that he doesn’t comparatively suck, though, so it’s a back-and-forth fight. Enterprise’s theme song is the worst ever imagined by a group of writers and producers, who want to “modernize” and “hippify” a universe that doesn’t need it to begin with (next up, they’ll try a new opening for Star Wars).
Janeway loses points for being stupid enough to try to make a pact with the Star Trek living incarnation of Satan, the Borg. She gains some in my book for having Leonardo da Vinci as her favorite man in history…if only she’d gotten Archimedes in there too. She loses a lot because of how DUMB she’s acted on more than several occaisions…Star Trek’s about ADVENTURE, dammit.
Pike gains a boatload of points for wielding an axe and shield in The Cage that looked like it came directly out of the Chronicles of Gor. He also gains points for being willing to test his theories out on heads far larger than any Ferrengi’s. He also gains more for his ship possessing transportable weapons that can blast holes in continents.
Pike wins. Sisko gets second on a recall vote because he was shafted from the list. Picard and Kirk are Picard and Kirk, enough said. Janeway was too…something. Lame reason, but she just rubbed me wrong. Archer is a sight-seeing tourist with two warp nacelles strapped to the metal beneath his boots.

First off, Give Janeway her dues, not only is she trying to get her people home, but she is also HER OWN doing it. She does have the federation to run to when she hits a snag. She has got the brains and the spirit to handle all she has been threw, and has proven without a doubt on MANY the occassion that she can stand against anything. Her pack with the borg. Umm excuse me…but Picard has done that too, heck I think most of them have, she was trying to protect her crew, even though the outcome was not a glorified as one would have hoped. Star Trek is about adventure and all, and her character has delivered it and then some.
Ugh, and people wonder why Star Wars geeks are/were so elitist?
Kirk humped whales or something. Doesn’t he get extra points for that?
And he sung the most um, memorable songs.
Picard has NEVER made an alliance with the Borg. Go watch First Contact…they made allusions to Ahab’s Quest. He was willing to damn Hugh to proverbial Hell because of his hatred of them. Guinan had to talk him out of it, and THEN he acted like Locutus to try to find reason to destroy that individual the second time. Picard despises the Borg.
Voyager never was as deep, from what I could tell, as DS9. ****, they had a SMACKDOWN ep on Voyager. Fun, but it was a cameo guest appearance for The Rock, and that was about it. For that ep to have meant something, Seven should’ve taken up some type of martial art in the aftermath.
Sighs Whatever. Voyager wasn’t my favorite, I suppose.
