Radeon 9800 pro FEEL THE POWER!

I recently overclocked my Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB from 378 core & 338 memmory to 385 core (could probably take higher if I wanted to stress test it longer.) and 390 memmory… This babys running MEAN! almost 3000 points on 3DMark05… (processor kinda bogged me down on it =( only a AMD XP 2400 1.8~ghz)

Feel the raw power of ATI!!!

Now if only the drivers dident suck… grumble

I just got a Radeon X800XT PE. I get 5k in 05, but I think my 3.6 GHz P4 is holding me back. Also, I hear the new Catalysts improve scores significantly, but I’m using Catalyst 4.9 still.

i started running it to look at all the awesome looking games, but had to stop it to do some work, i should run it some time… (3dmark05)

Your radeon X800 have 256 or 128mb, or maby even 512? that makes bit diffrence on scores.

Also the X800s are just beasts of cards… powerfull powerfull toys…

Actually, I bought a Sapphire X800 Pro and flashed the card’s BIOS to that of an X800XT PE card, which unlocked the full 16 texture pipelines and set the clock speed default to 520/560. I have a floppy disk image with all the needed tools for the flash if anyone else is considering trying this. In RAR format, the image is about 400 KB. By the way, with the new Catalyst 4.10 beta drivers, my current 3dMark 05 score is 6027.

I also hear that you can softmod a regular Geforce 6800 to enable the disabled 4 pixel pipelines and 1 vertex shader unit with Riva Tuner. An interesting idea, especially considering that you can buy those cards about $250-$300.

i got 2526 3dmarks in 3dmark 2005 with my 9800 pro.

I got a GeForce, only for the motion blurring on racing games.

Need for Speed Underground + Motion blurring = pretty looking fun

no motion blur on Radeon cards?

I get motion blur in nfsu, could be my lcd though…

older radeons couldent do shit =p the 9000+ models work fine.

Not when I got my card.

The next time I get a new graphics card I might get a Radeon, so In 5 years time I might have a Radeon.
