Hehe, happy b-day Pip. 1 year left until the next age checkpoint. You wont regret it at all.
If your parents dont kick you out, be glad
When I land a better job I might move in with my friends place and pay rent with him and his other few friends. Woohoo, LAN EVERY DAY!!!
Actually, I’m not too concerned about the political bent of where I go, so I may go to California for all I care. Besides: All colleges by DEFAULT are liberal. I hardly know of any major college that does not have a majority of liberals on the staff (because, after all, academia is largely liberal as they typically don’t have to concern themselves with the real world where they truly have to consider the possible merits of conservatism against those of liberalism anyway)
Oh, you think everything is liberal. The only reason they don’t have many conservative teachers is that conservatives never change, therefore conservative teachers over thirty would likely refuse to teach to black kids.
Oh, so it’s the “real world” to be sheltered from doing real work by inheretance and investment? Good thing conservatives don’t value knowledge, because acquiring it might mean they would have to do something!
I give up, KBV is much better at zinging than I am.
conservatives are NOT racists, liberals just cater to blacks because all they see from them is votes.
conservatives are too busy working in the private sector to be doing any public job, as well all know public jobs are easy compared to private sector ones. The private sector actually expects results.
Pip: join or create a republican club.
I can’t vouch for others, being a libertarian myself, but I care much for a good education, and anyone who wants to spend the time to truly educate themselves is good in my book. And it’s the real world when you are actually doing a job utilizing physical or mental labor that is more involved with productivity than with merely impressing your knowledge on others.Teachers teach, and therefore don’t have much access to the real world where you actually do finance, or programming, or so forth.
So what category does the job of “stripping money from the worker” fall into?
Also, it’s good that your idea of academia is so inaccurate! That allows you to make an informed judgement, right enough!
