You want to know the truth? Nokia had the right idea (primarily with Bluetooth wireless multiplayer). They just got the worst designers in the world to make their system (The fact that they had a terrible showing at E3 and you have to remove the battery to change games practically killed it. Not to mention the fact that it’s useless on plane rides).
Likewise with the Phantom. It’s a good idea (downloading games) but to hold the user completely beholden to a net connection is a bad thing.
So I was walking to class the other day and I got a phone call, right? I answered the phone, and when I was done talking, I had a hankering to play a video game, but because I didn’t have an N-Gage, I started to cry. Then I remembered–I have a GBA, and using my phone doesn’t involve me lookling like I’m trying to massage herpes into my face. Then I rejoiced.
