Counter-strike is destroying first person shooters…The game almost requires no skill to play and it is completely random…if you point at their leg and fire you can get a head shot…ive done it before many times and counter-strike junkies are fucking dicks…if you even try to talk about another game they say fuck that counter strike is better…This game must go down

Umm, this can be said about Halo junkies, or Warcraft junkies (like me), or anything junkies really. If you don’t like the game, don’t play it.
I stopped playing counter-strike when they made cheating harder to pull off.

But Halo or Warcraft doesn’t take up 90% of online gaming. And neither cause the generation 1000s of mods that are attempting to reach the level of CS’s success simply by copying the design.
Halo is limited from being a big online game because it wasn’t made for that. I’m sure that if the PC version game out when it should have (long time ago) there would be plenty of useless mods out for it and people would always suggest you play it rather than other games. Warcraft III requires a higher level of sophistication, so it’s obviously less popular. You actually gotta think about stuff to win lots of matches (mostly… goddamn unbalanced Undead swarms…) but that limits it’s popularity right there. Half Life is so cheap that it might as well be free these days and CS is a free download. That right there will bring in people in droves. It’s also quite mindless, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun. I personally got bored of it about a day after I got it, but to each his/her own I say. It’s cheap, popular, and it also has easy to use modding tools, so obviously there’ll be lots of mods for it. Do I think it’s rediculous that people still play it? Yes, I couldn’t stand the same game for that long, especially because of the lack of variety. But if people want to play bad videogames, that’s fine with me. That’s part of what makes the videogame industry what it is.

I want to find the CD ISO for the original System Shock.

Hey Rattie, we should throw down some SS2 co-op some time. You and me can take on The Many easily 
MY friend got this CS mod where you play as aliens or humans, and the humans have guns and all and I think armor, but the aliens only have their own natural differences, and you have to find spots to put ressource things and the builders can make defense towers and you can heal and the aliens have five different forms, and one can climb walls, the other can build and heal, and the other can fly. The other two are really high-level killing machines, but you need several hives to build them and the games are really long and the backgrounds are great and there are elevators and the graphics rule and you see the alien’s teeth move when they bite.
Normal CS: You shoot people until time runs out.
